great gratin

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a true gratin pan. The enamel coating inside and out holds up in the oven and under the broiler.I love that I dont need to season it and that it cleans so easily. I use it for my gratins, roasted veggies and great crispy potatoes.

I love using these gratin pans. The cast iron is perfect for retaining heat, and achieving a perfectly browned crispy bottom. My casseroles come out some much better in these pans, compared to my old glass ones.
My mother in law is a big fan of Staub, and she convinced me to purchase this pan. So glad I did. They really make a considerable difference.

The Staub oval gratin pan, makes simple foods taste great. Love the crispy edges the cast iron produces when used for macaroni and cheese, potato gratin, eggplant parmesan, and creamed spinach.
Perfect size for two hefty sides, and makes my husband and I feel like we are dining in a fine restaurant. Love that I can prep dishes the evening before, and simply finish in a preheated oven without having to worry about shattering. Easy clean up, and is also dishwasher safe.
