Beautifully crafted Japanese knife. I am left handed and loved that the handle on this knife felt comfortable and stable in my hand. The damascus has almost a non-stick quality to it which is really nice when cutting potatoes and cucumbers.

A VG10 super steel Japanese knife, it is sharp and has flower design with katana edge and ia CRYODUR blade, ice-hardened to Rockwell 60.

Kaizen is an outstanding Japanese chef knife. I love that I can purchase a knife that is made and sold in Japan...authentic! It has the traditional D shaped handle that fits nicely in your hand. And the Damascus blade is stunning; so cool to have all those layers protecting the knife. It also has the true Japanese edge making it incredible sharp which allows it to stand up to even the most delicate cutting tasks.

Another great Miyabi knife with both style and performance that is top-of-the-line! Love the Damascus design & the 65 layer process. Thin but strong blade, due to the ice-hardening process. Handle looks wooden, but is actually black linen Micarta. Everyone should own at least 1 Miyabi Chef knife!

This Kaizen 8 inch chef, may be thin like most Asian style knives, but this one is tough! Through its manufacturing process, it is sure to be resilient. I love using this knife, it cuts like butter and is a beauty to look at. Worth the investment.

The core is created from VG10 steel which is a high carbon stainless steel that is east to sharpen to a razor sharp edge. Then it has a 65 layer damascus pattern to create the beauty. The handle is Micarta Linen which has a wood grain look without any of the downfalls that wood has like expanding or cracking. Be sure to hand wash and dry this beautiful knife to keep it looking and performing its best.
