Everyone else has already attested to the superb quality of the blades. I will mention one other very good thing. We bought this set to fill in our block. The fork from this set fits right into one of the slots in the block. In the photo the fork is the second from the top on the right side.

Perfect knife set to carve meat!

One of the best buy deal for a carving knife and fork. These two are perfect together from quality, performance to durability. An 8" carving knife will cut and slice through a large beef roast or corned-beef, turkey or just about anything and it is partnered with the fork is a must have knife set in your kitchen.
Pro. S knives is manufactured in Germany, Special formula high carbon NO STAIN steel. forged from a single piece of solid steel, ice-hardened FRIODUR blade starts sharper, stays sharper longer, and has superior resilience. This might help better to let you know carving knife is 57 Rockwell Hardness = excellent edge retention, edge angle 15 degrees per side and dishwasher safe.

A carving set for a lifetime. High quality steel goes into the making of both the carving knife and the fork. Both made in Germany. The carving knife holds an edge so maintenance is a breeze. Slices smoothly. Good length for prime rib, turkey or whatever you're serving.
Professional S is terrific line of knives. They feature a traditional straight bolster and a slightly smaller handle. As a result they are a little lighter than the new Pro line. I have owned one of these knives for more than 10 years. It has performed year in and year out, and I cook a lot. I sharpen it maybe twice a year, hand wash it and it looks like I never use it.

Great set for that holiday time of year. This carver knife will slice your turkey or ham beautifully. The special formula stainless steel of the Professional "S" will have lasting durability and sharpness, so you never worry about having to saw through your beautiful Thanksgiving turkey with difficulty, but rather with sharpness and ease.

This is one of the best carving sets that the Zwilling family produces. The Pro S are one of the top of the line German-made knives and that stays consistent with this 2pc set. The handles on both the carver and fork are comfortable and the pieces work beautifully together and apart!
