sweet sweet Oatmeal pot

this pot was recommended to me to use for overnight oatmeal. It works perfectly! the oats soak so nicely then just turn on the heat in the morning...ready to go. Something about using cast iron gives the oatmeal so much rich flavor while maintaining the texture. Hubby gets excited every time he sees the pot he expects there is oatmeal coming.

Rice Reimagined

This petite french oven is my new rice cooker. Ideal size for preparing two cups of grains; rice, quinoa, or even oatmeal. Self basting feature in lid provides continuous moisture for no-fail results. Goes from stove to to table to keep warm while serving.

Received this as a Christmas Gift, probably because we eat lots of grains. I've made Coucous, pilaf and risotto and all come out very moist and delicious. Good gift idea for a vegetarian.

The petite french oven can be used for so many things and that's why we love it! I have cooked rice in it, dips, or stews/. It is just the right size! The lid fits perfect to lock in moisture!

Wonderful little pot made the perfect rice! Have only used it once so far, but no sticking and the rice was light and fluffy. Easily cleaned too. and looks so nice on the stove. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

Rice Cooker, Sauce Pot! It Is Everything Pot!

One day a customer walked in and asked if we carry a rice cooker. I thought this customer was in the wrong store. I then quickly thought of this 1.5qt. petite french oven and to my surprise, that is what that customer is looking for. She said, "she have the smaller one she enjoyed using it, it cooks rice perfectly and great for soup even deep frying small food. Another happy customer, she is so glad we carry this size and bought graphite as well.

Great for rice!

This is one of my favorite and most used piece of Staub that I own. We eat a lot of brown, black and red rice in our family and I love using this pot for cooking it. I put the rice or grain in the pot, add water and put it in the oven at 350 for an hour. Perfect rice everytime with a little bit of fondant on the bottom and sides.
This is also a great oatmeal pot or for those cooking for one.

A beauty of a small French oven to use almost daily! I especially love it for morning oatmeal, rice dishes, couscous and warming leftovers! This carries right over to the table for a nice presentation, instead of another bowl, plate or serving dish and then stays hot!
