The 'solution' is this: this Henckels paring knife is the bomb. At such a great price, you can't go wrong with this parer equipped with a comfortable handle and super sharp blade, ready to take on the smallest of prep tasks.

This is an excellent value. This paring knife is sharp and will easily do all the peeling and coring and cutting tasks you have. The medium size handle is comfortable to grip.
The Solution line of knives is a good step up to quality stamped steel cutlery. These knives are made from high quality German steel that will not stain or rust or pit. They are made - from the tip of the blade to the heel of then handle, from a single piece of steel for terrific stability. These knives are lightweight without compromising blade sharpness. Maintained properly, they will last many years.

Passed the “cut-paper-from-the-edge” test.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the package, I tried slicing a piece paper starting at the edge like in sharpening videos. This knife cut the paper without any snags. Nice and smooth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a set henckels knives for years some how lost my paring knife, I was so happy to find a matching one and upgraded, longer and sharper. Only this one is made in India instead of Germany, but looks very similar quality.
