Great Chef knife

This is a great traditional style Japanese bread knife. Super lightweight, the Chef knife has a nice balance to it, and it won’t get heavy in your hand if you are slicing fruit, meat, or veggies. The thin yet sharp and durable blade of the FC61 steel of the Koh does a nice job of slicing and cutting easily and smoothly. The Pakkawood handle is more a traditional style for Japanese cutlery, paying homage to the original Japanese knives, samurai swords. The 6” Chef knife is a great blade, still a large blade but not as daunting in size as the 8 or 10” chef blades.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great proportions on this knife

This is a classic Japanese knife; the distinctly angled, slightly wooden handle, the super sharp, lightweight blade makes cutting with this knife smooth, and comfortable. The aesthetics of the knife also need to be mentioned. The bright blade in contrast with the darker wood handle is truly beautiful to look at.
And for all the exterior benefits, the construction of this knife is compromised. The FC61 steel used in making the blade is strong without being brittle. It takes an edge and keeps it. Hand wash this gorgeous knife. It has a Pakkawood handle.

The Miyabi Koh line is stunning and performs as well as any other Miyabi knife. miyabi knives are known the world-over for their thin blade, super-sharp angle, made from German steel and engineering, yet crafted by Japanese artisans who take great pride in mastering the art of knives! These are all ice-hardened so you know they are sharp and extremely durable. Beautiful handle that contrasts the shiny blade of Koh. I prefer the 6" Chef knife, as it is a bit smaller in my hand.

Insanely sharp. The blade is crafted for precision slicing! Refined, detailed and beautiful.
Use this knife for all fruits, vegetables and herbs. Octagonal handle is interesting comfortable in your hand!
I love to use this knife, and I go for it more often than my 8" chefs knife for daily prep work.
You will not shed a tear slicing an onion.

A 6" chef knife is a great size for beginner or younger home chefs. Able to tackle most cutting projects without the intimidating length of a full 8" to 10" Chef. Made from FC 61 Koh knives are extremely chip and corrosion resistant. Feels very light in the hand but is still stable to cut with. The octagon handle has a comfortable shape that feels secure and smooth.

This Chef knife is so sharp, will effortlessly cutting and chopping food. Perfect knife for meat, poultry, vegetables and fruits. Advanced FC61 fine carbide stainless steel is exceptional in durability, cutting edge retention, and corrosion resistance. This knife is light and comfortable in my hand.
