great power perfect size

This cleaver makes quick work of all my big chopping needs. Whether im breaking down a chicken or cutting up a large bunch of turnips this is my go to. The German steel blade is very sharp and is very easy to resharpen. I have a lot of confidence in the construction. The size is perfect.....so many cleavers are too big and harder to control. Not with this one.

This cleaver cuts through bones, thick root vegetables and large pieces of meats. While I don't use it often, it serves its purpose and I am glad I have it when needed. Makes easy work of chopping up a slab of ribs, slicing squash or watermelon, and taking a chicken apart.

Good cleaver for chopping and breaking down whole chickens, raw and cooked, pork and lamb bones at home. Very useful tool.
I really like my Henckels Classic knives. I've had mine for 20 years. These knives are forged of quality steel with a full tang and a triple riveted handle, and a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.

First, I love the size of this cleaver, it fits perfectly in my hand and feel comfortable when I am using. Some larger cleavers, do not feel Iike I have good control of the knife, but this size does. Second, this is a tremendous value on the knife due to the German steel, made in Spain and ice-hardeing process. The three together create a durable and super sharp knife, that will retain its sharpness for a longer time than most other knives.

Balanced and not too heavy that you'll have to take a break! Handle just curved enough to be comfortable after aggressive minutes of work

Underrated Knife

I love using this cleaver for getting through bones in meat. I do wish it was a little heavier so that I could get the knife would do some of the work for me, but I did not have the budget to get the one that has some heft to it. Even with that said, I think this is a great knife that I would recommend to anyone who would like to try to butcher more meat at home.

This meat cleaver works wonderfully. It has enough weight and sharpness to easily cut through your meat. I love that this value line is made in Spain and not China.

I really liked this cleaver and does a great job on Chicken bones. It is heavy enough to do most of the work for you but not too heavy to lift. It's much more satisfying to take apart a chicken yourself instead of buying a fryer cut up,. The meat justs taste fresher and you have a little more control on size of the pieces. This cleaver does what it needs too. My husband uses it on ribs as well and has no complaints!
