Great Tool

Love working with this cleaver. Great for hacking through hard bones and caucuses, as well as chopping, and dicing vegetables. Made in Spain with high carbon German steel which makes it well priced too.

Taught my mother something new

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product for on my own nefarious purpose of making Asian style chicken soup. The bones are a huge part of the soup and I was destroying my conventional knives to cut a whole chicken. When my gave it a try, she became a true believer of high quality brand name products by Henckels. She had been using standard-issue asian made cleavers, which will last a lifetime, sharpen with little issues, and get the job done. But after giving this cleaver a whirl, was thoroughly impressed with the fact that she did not have to use as much muscle and the blade never dulled. If this isn't a worthy testimonial, I don't know what is. I mean, she's my mom, she can cook!
