Good Saute Pan - Performs as expected

Contrary to the previous review. This saute pan functions well. It is not sold as a nonstick pan. It is sold as a 3 ply/clad stainless pan. As expected, I have to use oil or butter to saute meats and vegetables. It has nice even heat distribution and when I deglaze the pan I have a nice sauce which, you don't usually get with a nonstick pan because you don't get any of the tasty bits stuck to the bottom of the pan to scrape up while deglazing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Warped in the first week of use

Warped in the first week with everything properly following cooking instruction.
Continued to use for 8 months and it's getting very hard. Warranty requires shipment to manufacturer for inspection first and they will decide to replace or not. Not worth the shipment cost.

I love this size saute pan.

This size is perfect for family daily cooking. It is great sauteing pan, cooking sauces, even great for deep frying, broiling and browning. Stainless steel pots possesses equal heat retention and distribution. This 3-ply stainless steel pot is lightweight, flat bottom stays flat and will not warp.
It is a lifetime investment, has comfortable handles that allow for easy maneuvering and roomy stay cool handle. I've had variety of stainless steel pans, Spirit is one of my favorite pots and pans.Compatible with gas, induction, ceran, halogen, and electric cooktops and oven safe up to 500F degree. Washing and cleaning is a breeze. Safe to use with metal utensils and dishwasher safe.

great all around pot

The tri-ply construction of this pot heats quickly and evenly. The stainless steel works on all cooktops including induction as well as in the oven. I love that there are measurement marks on the inside allowing me to fill with water directly in the vessel. The glass lid is tight fitting and allows me to monitor my cooking without lifting it off. The shape is great for sautees, braises, and even frying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a WINNER! Great engineering/design: Sturdy (box ripped in shipping exposed end of handle yet perfect!) Lipped for no-mess pouring, Glass top STRONG w/wide lip for steam & heat, raised handle for coolness. Locks in nutrition w/veggies as use little water to create steam. LOVE this pan! THANK YOU Zwilling for another quality and trustworthy product!

I bought this pan with the intention of converting to ceramic pans for their non-stick qualities. 1. recommended heat to Medium limited use of pan 2. required a lot of oil to effect non-stick qualities - I can do that with stainless steel 3. extreme difficulty removing stuck food (especially eggs) and then 'scrubbing' off brown marks 4. limitation on cleaning materials makes 'elbow grease' necessary to clean pan. I think there is a Danish company that is making a true non-stick pan that doesn't require oil and can handle metal utensils.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everyone should have a saute pan in their kitchen and this Spirit version certainly fits the bill! The stainless steel will expertly distribute and retain heat while easily handling high smoke point oils too. It's the perfect weight and a breeze to clean.

Great cookware. Heats up quickly and browns well. I like that I can see what's going on inside with the glass lid. The saute pan is really versatile, fry, saute, braise. We pull this pan out often!
