Good when cooking fried rice

Head is a bit smaller than I thought but rice does not stick onto the spoon which makes making fried rice so convenient.

creamy risotto

Great risotto spoon. The hole in the center limits breaking down the risotto when stirring. It makes it so creamy. It would probably be good for other soft foods as well, such as rice, orzo or polenta. The silicone is thin but durable. Love the feel of the acacia handle.

The reason a risotto spoon has a hole in the middle; is so that you can stir the it constantly without breaking as many grains as could happen with a solid spoon. This one is perfect. I love that there is a silicone base. It can take temperatures up to 500F and is a breeze to clean up.

It really makes a difference

A good risotto making tool does make for a better risotto.The hole in the middle allows some rice to pass through and stay in tact. With all the stirring you have to do with a risotto, you could end up with mush. But this silicone spoon with a rustic wood handle, does the trick. Good size grip and length.

Nice looking risotto spoon

A great tool to use to stir your delicious risotto without breaking down the grains. The Acacia wood handle is a nice durable wood, great for tools being used in the kitchen daily. The silicone makes for easy cleaning and safe scrapping on your enameled Staub pieces.

Perfectly Staub!! The design and shape are perfect for making a creamy risotto. I also use this spoon for fried rice dishes. The rounded handle is comfortable to hold. The shape of the spoon will capture all the rice grains around the edges of the pot. I like the extended silicone on the handle. Stain resistant and easy to clean!
