Great touch of whimsy

Staub offered this as a free bonus to my purchase and I loved it so much I got the fish, pig and snail to swap out on my other Staub (and Le Creuset) pieces. I even found a cow and rabbit online to complete the menagerie, though Staub now sells the cow, too. Given all the cooking we are doing nowadays and cancelled vacations, I thought buying some new Staub pieces plus these cute knobs would make cooking more enjoyable and less the chore. My grandkids like to cook so they “pick” their fav animal pot and then we decide what to make in it. Staub quality the best.

Love the knobs from Staub for their cookware, but I wish there was a bigger selection. I would like the rooster in bronze or other designs. The original ones had more details. The rabbit one now, is very simple vs the older ones.

I couldn’t help myself and splurge on this knob; it’s just fun to have and I laugh because I actually cook the animal on the knob with the cocotte I’m using.

Great rooster knob

A great and fun addition to any Staub dutch oven. The rooster is the perfect pairing for these made in France pieces, helping promote that aesthetic in your kitchen. They are also oven safe up to 500 degrees, which is nice because that way it doesn’t compromise you from not being able to use your Staub lids in the oven at a high temp.
