Great pot!! I'm using it on induction range and it's awesome!!! I have the 4 and 5 quart but this one is perfect for dried beans, soups, ect. I can put it on with the lid and it will simmer for hours and not boil dry but cook thoroughly.
I love the versatility of cast iron. Stove to oven to table. My favorite part is the heat retention. I use this size for my sauce pot. The Iron keeps it nice and hot and holds steady. The black matte interior dosent stain and the enamel lets me soak and use soap as needed without having to season.
I purchased a few of these so that I can use them as serving containers and everyone that I present the food in this pot, they always comment on how beautiful they are. Also, because of the cast iron, the food stays super hot throughout the meal.
Perfect 1-3 Serving cocotte. Stew, slow cook and great rice-cooker. Has all the features of larger Staubs...moisturizing nobs neath lid. Protective enamel inside and out.
This smaller sized round cocotte is perfect for a smaller family. I love to make soups in this dish and also use to serve in because it is so nice. The matte black also provides the look of a traditional cast iron without the maintenance.
I really like using this pot for warming leftover stew and pot roast. The cast iron heats up slowly and helps keep the flavors intact. Nothing drys out because it still has the basting spikes and it doesn't cool down too quickly. Your leftovers tast and look like you just prepared them in a smaller pot that same day!
