With all the features of the larger cocottes this small half quart cocotte is fun to have for the smaller cooking tasks! This is approximately two cups so it's great for small batches of sauces or for melting chocolate, cheese or butter. Think of anything you'd do in your smallest stainless steel pot and you can do it in this instead! Go ahead and use it for baking and serving hot dips too.

Always see these small cocottes at restaurants and resorts. They are great for serving warm dips, sauces, clarified butter, molten cakes, individual, mac and cheese, even cinnamon rolls.
Love how they look on the table, and how they keep everything nice and warm. In the process of adding more to my collection, my goal is an even dozen. These will last a lifetime so I consider them an investment in years of entertaining!

Put these on my Bridal Registry and was pleased to receive 8! Perfect for individual servings of soup, souffle, casserole, pudding and stew. Keeps items nice and hot so can be placed on the table prior to seating.
Also can be used for clarified butter, warm dips and spreads, as well as individual
sorbet, ice cream and gelato. Keeps hot hot, and cold cold. Perfect for entertaining!

I love this sblack Staub cast iron .5qt. cocotte is wonderful, fun and exciting.
This size is great for single-serve, great for French onion soup, gratin, cake, bread, pot pie, and great for strawberry dipping, salsa and I love spinach artichoke cheese dip.
This cast iron cocotte size is perfect, possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout, and it is light for being small.
The innovative lid features tiny spikes on the interior that continually release condensed liquid back onto the food, yielding moist, flavorful results.
It is dishwasher safe and oven safe. Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen.
These heirloom pieces can be passed from generation to generation. Handwashing is recommended.

This all-around matte black mini will make a great individual serving of something! The combined interior technology of the self-basting lid and pre-seasoned coating will yield fantastic results even this small!

It's a mini but not the other mini. .5 quarts vs. .25 quarts. Still works for individual serving such as french onion soup. Good for a hot dip since the cast iron retains it's heat or can be chilled and used for a cold dip. Either way it looks classy!

spectacular for side dishes

this is my go to pot for side dishes. I like to cook beans and rice, smaller portions of potatoes and soups.
Everything you would expect from Staub! Beautifully constructed, exceptional even heating and heat retention.
Stove to oven to table.

This Staub two cup cocotte is just the right size for preparing small or individual portions. Appetizers, sides, souffles, baked beans or pasta, stews, French onion soup, cobblers, or anything you want to have remain warm at the table when served in this cast iron cocotte.
