These are great accessories to have in the kitchen. It's awesome the way this trivet sticks securely to the bottom of the pan but is also easy to remove. So easy to move the hot pan from place to place with this trivet and it's pretty as well.

It is worth having a few of these on hand for transfering a hot cocotte to the table for serving. These fit the oval and coq au vin cocottes and the cocottes are magnetic on the bottom so the trivet attaches to the cocotte and you just carry to the table with the handles and stays put.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Such a great idea - use for your Staub cocottes and it will magnetically attach to the bottom of the pot, when you take from oven or stovetop to table. Simple, beautiful wooden design so no need to worry about burning or scorching the table or runner. Easy to clean off for use the same or next day again!

Ive never seen a trivet like this before. The wood construction is very durable and an attractive color. The magnets inside adhere the trivet to the bottom of my Staub cocotte. It makes it so much easier to serve from the table in my cast iron vessels.

This large oval is essentially the same in narrow dimension as its main competitor’s 8-inch diameter one and is 5/8” high, a tiny bit higher than the competition’s raised-silicon-ringed trivet, which (new) comes with a noticeable cyanoacrylate-type odor and says its finish can be damaged at 176 degrees F. This oval trivet has 2 longitudinally set 1” diameter bottom plugs over the magnets (4 1/2” on-center apart); so while a Staub #16 Petite French Oven (1.5 qt.) will sit in the middle and lift, two mini cocottes will sit side-by-side because each favors centering over one of the magnets. The competitor’s 3 plugs are each 3/4” in diameter set in a triangle pattern (2” on-center between each) underneath the trivet’s raised central section; so a mini cocotte centers on and lifts the round trivet but has less stability to lift and safely hold onto the oval trivet without letting it twirl off. I just ordered the Staub 9” round trivet for the best coverage of the bottom of my 5.5 quart (#26) Staub cocotte plus to also use with my larger Staub bottoms since I cannot find magnetic trivets with any greater coverage.
