Best saucepan I've ever used

This saucepan heats so evenly that I can cook better than I ever thought I would be able to! The handle stays cool, so I don't have to use a pot holder if I have to pick this up to dump out anything that needs to be stained.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Seven layers of heaven! Heats up fast an efficiently. Welded, stay cool handles, can be used with all kinds of cook tops, including induction and oven safe. Demeyere Atlantis is the Rolls Royce of cookware. A lifetime piece that will be enjoyed again and again, and passed down through generations. A great investment especially for those who love great food.

The Demeyer line of cookware is beyond belief. With the lid on I can put a solid frozen 5 X 5 piece frozen spaghetti sauce w/two meatballs on the lowest heat and have them not only defrosted but heated and ready serve in 30 minutes. No boiling of the stock (like what a microwaved would do giving it's hour long defrost cycle)!
When I teach my grandchildren took cook I trust they will be using my hand down Demeyer Pots and pans.

Cooks well, lid handle gets hot

We've had it about a month and have found that it does a great job with heat transfer and cooking. However, the lid handle can get very warm. Son't forget, the saucepan is relatively very heavy even when empty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Demeyere is the Cadillac of cookware. There is not a better brand on the market especially in the 5 and 7 ply area. This sauce pan has 7 layers on the bottom including copper and silver two of the best heat conductors on earth.
Fantastic for induction cooktops but also performs excellently on gas and electric cooktops.
The stay cool handle really stays cool even on gas and the lack of rivets on the inside makes clean up a breeze.

I like how it cooks and distributes the heat, although the saucepan is very heavy. However, the downside is that the handle on the lid can get VERY HOT. Demeyere/Zwilling should give serious thought to how to redesign this handle.

There is nothing on the market better than Demeyere when it comes to stainless steel cookware. These pieces are amazing. The 7 layers of silver, copper and steel in the Atlantis collection are unparalleled; it heats up so quickly, and retains that heat well. Also there are no rivets, making for a much easier cleaning. With the saucepan, making sauces, soups are perfect. With the Sivinox finish, these stainless steel pans do a fantastic job cleaning after use.
