gorgeous blade

Not to sound politically incorrect but this is really a manly knife! It has a heafy handle, large belly, heft and is a great piece to show off to friends. The 101 layer Chevron pattern is beautiful, micarta handle is smooth and feels secure in the hand and the stainless bolster is a great design element as well as adding nice balance to the overall knife.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Any Bob Kramer knives are a dream to own! The 101 layers Damascus pattern and wide blade were perfect for my boyfriend and his larger hands! He loves this knife and has used it so often, mostly for cutting meats, but he uses it almost daily for something! This knife will last a lifetime and loved for how special it is in every way!

It's a Kramer Knife - Just Do it Already

So what's big deal about a Kramer knife - in particular this 10" chef's knife? This is a knife for BIG GIRLS AND BOYS.
The reputation around Kramer knives is deserved. They are masterfully designed and hand made in Seki, Japan. And they are the closest most of will get to a knife made by Mr. Kramer, himself.
The joy you get from this knife isn't just because you are slicing, dicing, mincing with a work of art or that easily slices through whatever ingredients you are prepping; you are enjoying it because it was so thoughtfully designed. It takes into account the way chef's work, and translates that to the shape of the blade, the dimensions of the handle the arc of the spine. The joy comes with the effortlessness.
A 10" chef's knife is the knife you pull out for big things - large pieces of meats, whole birds, large vegetables and fruit. The stuff that chef's like to work with. Just do it.

This is a great option for someone with a larger hand wanting a larger knife. This handle is pretty big, yet beautiful. This 10" chef is definitely all of 10", so very great for someone looking for a large chef knife, or prefers more knife than the 8" has to offer. Of course it is Bob Kramer's line so the quality is outstanding and best in its' class.

tough it's large, it's balance makes it quite maneuverable. For forged in fire nuts...this Kramer has the powder carbon steel core wrapped and wrapped for stability! Nice one!

Beautiful Knife with Precision Cutting

I was shopping for a knife and saw this up in the case. I commented how beautiful the knife is, and the sales associate insisted I try it. SOLD! Comfortable in my hand, takes little effort to slice through vegetables and fruits. Assured it will work for any kitchen task...slicing meats, chopping and dicing vegetables, it is a dream piece of cutlery.
