The best cast iron pot ever

The craftsmanship of this Staub pot is absolutely beautiful. The heat conductivity is excellent, making it perfect for simmering stews and soups. It holds moisture incredibly well, which brings out the best flavors in my cooking. It's very durable and built to last a lifetime. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Cast Iron 5-qt Bouillabaisse Pot is absolutely beautiful. When I opened the box I wanted to cry. I purchased the sapphire.. the color is beautiful and it cooks evenly with no issues —like all of my Staub cookware. I made fish Florentine my 5qt was deep enough to hold enough for 5 people everything comfortable with room left over and it was easy to handle..it is approximately 14lbs and solid. I had this on my wish list now my wish has come true.

Not only great to make Bouillabaisse, but also used as a braiser as well as a steamer for mussels, clams and other shellfish. Love the blue which reminds me of the ocean and the fish knob really makes a statement.
Love all my Staub pieces. Made in France dark interior which is great for caramelizing meats, poultry, fish and vegetables. Also stain resistant which also makes clean up a breeze, not to mention a great serving vessel, keeping foods hot and delicious.

Beauty meets functionality

unique shape and function

This is such a unique pot. It is nice and wide for plenty of room for food and for stirring without a mess. The matte interior gives great browning and dosent discolor from cooking with tomatoes. The enamel coating makes it a dream to clean too.The color and fish knob are striking and make a great service piece as well as a cooking vessel.

Many Uses for this Pot

The shape of this pot gives enough room to do many cooking tasks. Wide enough to use for stir fry, deep enough to sauce and sear meats and vegetables, you will find many ways to incorporate this pot into your everyday rotation. Cook and serve right from the pan. Makes an elegant serving dish.
