Absolutely beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Cast Iron 5-qt Bouillabaisse Pot is absolutely beautiful. When I opened the box I wanted to cry. I purchased the sapphire.. the color is beautiful and it cooks evenly with no issues —like all of my Staub cookware. I made fish Florentine my 5qt was deep enough to hold enough for 5 people everything comfortable with room left over and it was easy to handle..it is approximately 14lbs and solid. I had this on my wish list now my wish has come true.

Not just for fish

It is the perfect bouillabaisse or ciopino pot as the fish knob signifies. But you shouldn't let that deter you if you love the looks but don't cook these dishes. The wide bottom and black enamaling browns nicely making it perfect for au gratin potatoes, cobblers or one pot meals. The extra deep handlles make moving it around a piece of cake!

Perfect Bouillabaisse pot

A different look compared to some of the other Staub vessels, this is a great piece for making soups or of course as the name references, Bouillabaisse. Retains heat nicely so that way the broth and soups stay nice and hot. Cute fish knob as well!

This is great for making paella, risotto and of course bouillabaisse. Gorgeous blue color.
i love stewing fish and making chowders in this pot! The shape is stunning and the handles are ample to grab with pot holders.

The fish knob is super cute and looks great on this beautifully shaped pot, but that just scratches the surface of what this pot can do.
The large exposed surface on this pot is perfect for Bouilabaisse but also works great for paella or chicken marsala or au gratin potatoes....you get the idea!

Not only great to make Bouillabaisse, but also used as a braiser as well as a steamer for mussels, clams and other shellfish. Love the blue which reminds me of the ocean and the fish knob really makes a statement.
Love all my Staub pieces. Made in France dark interior which is great for caramelizing meats, poultry, fish and vegetables. Also stain resistant which also makes clean up a breeze, not to mention a great serving vessel, keeping foods hot and delicious.
