Received this as a Christmas Gift to replace my older set. Has all the basics I need including steak knifes. Love the way they cut, chop and slice and thought the price was a real bargain for a set of this quality.

Solid design with minor wear issues

This product is very sleek and looks great with the stained wood. It displays the knives easily and easy to pull out. All the knives are sharp and hold their sharpness well. Even though it stays sharp long, there is a knife sharpener that comes with the product. I do warn about using the knife sharpener incorrectly (I bought a much easier one externally). The single qualm I have is related to the handles. They are very pretty and feel good in your hand, however, I have experienced that those wear over time especially if you plan to use dishwashers. I didn't see many issues till 3-4 years in, but that can give you an idea of when you may need to replace the knives. The metal itself, was still in great shape that many years in.

EXCEEDED my Expectations.

I LOVE this set - I already cut myself - my own fault, I had been used to using dull knives and was not expecting RAZOR sharpness, my poor finger paid the price!
The only downside is the block of wood is a little big and awkward for my counter, but nothing I can't work with.
I would recommend this to a friend!
