The block is awesome. It’s made of solid top quality wood that has a great stain finish. Each knife slot has a sanding stone that sharpens the knife each time you put it in or take it out of the block.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very nice knife set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These knives are great! They feel very substantial in your hands. I love the fact that they are self-sharpening, that way they are always ready for use. The modernist design looks great on our new countertops. I highly recommend this set!

Good so far but not dishwasher safe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knives are sharp and good quality. The description online advertised them as “dishwasher safe” but the instruction sheet that came in the box says “we suggest avoiding the dishwasher”. I tried one in the dishwasher and it came out with rust spots. Not too please lid with a handwash-only set.
