Not as sharp as I expected. I expected easy slicing and effortless chopping. These knives are a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Beautiful set of knives with high quality steel and comfortable handles. The block is very nice, with built in sharpers. The best part is the lifetime warranty.

This set has everything ive been looking for. First they are quality blades from Henckels. I love the feel and the design. They look and very nice on my counter. Second they are very comfortable so they are a joy to use. This is truly a full set even including the steak knives that look great on my table as well as in the block. The self sharpening block is a big plus. I have always struggled to keep my knives sharp and this set takes care of it for me. A great product.

If you do not like sharpening your knives then this is the perfect consideration for you. The slots that sharpen are for the knives that are not serrated as serrated knives do not need to be sharpened. Great configuration with this block set as well, with some of the most used knives in the kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lots of useful cutlery. Tackle any job. Forged for nice balance and quite modern-looking...both knives and block. 6 nice, serrated steak knives a nice addition!
