Finally Adulting with excellent knives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I have had cheap as seen on TV knives. I finally pulled the trigger and got a beautifully crafted knife set. The modernist 14 piece set with self sharpening block is amazing. Every time I take it a knife, it sounds like I'm drawing a sword! The knives are perfectly sharp each time!

Great Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The block is bigger than I expected, but fits into the corner, under cabinets perfectly. The knives are sharp; I nicked my finger the first time using them because I was accustomed to dull knives--totally my fault. The self-sharpening seems to work well, but time will tell. The care instructions say to not put them in the dishwasher and I concur. I put one of the knives in the dishwasher and some oxidation occurred. If you want dishwasher-safe knives, then this set may not be right for you. Overall, this is a great knife set for the average home cook.

Love, Love, Love this knife set. The presentation is lovely with the stainless ergonomic styled handles and walnut knife block. So happy with the self-sharpening function (after hand-sharpening knives for 25 years)!
