Beautiful little pot, when Its just hubby and me I can create a nice stew or roast a small piece of meat and get a meal that makes you feel like a big family supper when its really just the two of you! I use this for my nonna's spaghetti and gravy, for beef barley soup and my husbands favorite clam and corn chowder.. the size makes it easy but the quality of the pot makes it special!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful Graphite Grey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the weight and even heat. Just finished making my first chowder in it. It is heavy compared to other cookware, but lighter than most cast-iron. Took one star away because it arrived with a small chip. Definitely 5 stars if it arrived perfect. Love cooking in it. Just prefer to put my own chips over time. :)

Quite a disappointment

So disappointed! After using this cocotte only twice (to prepare soups) I noticed that the interior started to lose its coating and to show signs of discoloration. When I used this cocotte the food did not stick to it so it was easy to clean with warm water, a gentle soap and a soft sponge as recommended by the manifacturer.
I don't see the point of investing so much money in a pot that performs just like cheaper cast iron pots.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. The discoloration you're seeing is somewhat common. It's typically mineral deposits and can be removed by following the cleaning steps below "Interior Black Matte Enamel" in your use and care guide.

shades of gray

Graphite is such a timeless neutral color. Looks great in a stainless kitchen or a home with gray tones. The enamel interior browns and carmelizes so well. It doesn't show any staining and the lids with the dimples on the underside are constantly dropping moisture back into my creation. In love.

The graphite grey color is one of the most sleek Staub hues that will go smoothly in the modern kitchen especially. The French craftsmanship shows in this 4qt oven that is perfect for feeding 2-4 people (or just 2 and plenty of leftovers!) The enameled (and iron-free!) cast iron maintains heat so well and I truly appreciate the self-basting feature with the spikes on the lid.

This pot is just right ! Not too heavy to handle. Sears meats to perfection and cleans up in a snap. I tend to wipe out the pot with a damp towel!! That's all you need. The surface of the pot is outstanding. Never see a stain again in this pot.

DARK BLUE IS BEAUTIFUL!

It is a perfect size for roasting a whole chicken or chicken soup. It does make a difference in food taste wise, efficiency-saves gas and you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table without the need to use another dish. I also bought a staub cast iron trivet to protect my table from direct heat.

Very nice, basic cocotte

This 4 quarter suits me well. Gray shades gradually lighten towards top..unique. Lid has dimples which aid in keeping moisture where needed. Holds heat seemingly forever.
