I love that this block configuration include a Santoku knife, which is one of my favorite knives. The Santoku is extremely versatile and can be used for almost any task you have in the kitchen. This line is beautiful and will look amazing with any decor.

Get the basics covered

Good value. I like any set that comes with two cook's knives - the 8-inch chef and a 7-inch santoku. The next two knives most folks need are a paring knife and a bread knife. This set covers it then! Plus it comes with 6 steak knives. You are ready to cook.
The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value.

This is a stamped knife set, meaning the shape of the knife is stamped from a sheet of steel so it is lighter than a forged knife. I like the feel of this because it is a bit lighter but because the steel runs all the way through the handle it still has a nice weighted feel in your hand. I love that this block includes six matching steak knives.

This is a greater starter set with all the essential pieces. The knives are so balanced because of the full tang, yet also so lightweight. My hand does not tire at all!

This set has everything one could need, plus the honing steel for daily use! Steak knives are an added plus! I find that my favs are the Chef & the HE Santoku, perfect for all those veggies!
