Looked good, but...

Purchased this set about a year ago. Immediately disappointed with the quality. The paring knives were too big for my taste, and none of the blades were very sharp. We tried sharpening but they don't hold a good edge. We also thought we were getting knives made in Spain, but these are made in India. So many of the knives look similar, perhaps I mistakenly ordered something different than intended. But for this set -- my advice would be to purchase what you need separately and gradually build a set of a better quality. After only a year, we are already looking to upgrade our knives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
