This knife block is such a beautiful addition to our kitchen. We received it as a gift for our wedding and continue to be impressed by the quality of the knives. The variety of sizes is perfect for daily use; we only added one larger knife to the set as a vegetable-cutting tool and because we also love the Kanren kiri series. This set builds well: we were also able to add in the steak knives, which fit perfectly into the block. I look forward to having this for the rest of my life. The quality of the actual knives is excellent. They are balanced, sharp, and feel good in the hand for precise cutting.
