About time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have know for years that I should get better kitchen knifes, but I've always been to cheap to spend the money. Now that I have used the Zwilling Pro series knifes, I can't believe I waited so long. Considering the years or decades of use I'll get from them the cost actually isn't much at all.

Living Up to the Hype

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product in order to replace a cost efficient knife set that my parents had before giving them to me.
When deciding to do so, I immediately delved into articles and reviews to learn as much as I could about which knives are best for which purposes.
After much research into the various knife brands and styles (both European and Japanese), I decided on European (though I'll inevitably end up collecting both).
I decided I wanted heft to the blade, full tang, forged, and made with slightly softer steel as to avoid any chipping. It came down to a choice between Zwilling and Wustof, both legendary companies.
In the end, the deciding factor (and arguably the most important factor when choosing) was the feel.
The design of the bolster on the Zwilling Pro line was the most comfortable I had ever used. The recess fit the natural curve of my fingers using the claw grip in such a way that allowed total control with minimum effort.
Of course, the 8" chef's knife is my main, but the 4" pairing knife is designed the same, so intricate work with fruits and vegetables is far less hazardous with a knife so easy to control.
The unsung star of the kit was actually the 5.5" prep knife. I did not think I would use it as much, but it was perfect for delicately working with chicken, such as butterflying and stuffing.
Note that I'm not a chef, I'm a budding amateur home cook, but I feel that the proper tools make any kitchen more effective, efficient, and far safer.
When all was said and done, I wanted a knife set that would last forever with proper care, that fit my hand, and that made home cooking more enjoyable.
I got exactly that.

I am so happy with quality of these knifes and the ease of cutting and preparing my dishes. Zwilling Pro makes my job look so easy. Effortless

My fiance and I took turns tonight slicing onions since we couldn't get enough of how effortless it was to get paper thin slices with these knives. The weight and quality are perfect and we expect to have these for a very long time.

First set of quality knives
