what a nice 3 piece knife set. Super, sharp santoku, a 6" utility/slicer and useful parer. Forged GSS with very comfortable handle...and classic 3 rivets. Get yourself a "pull-thru" sharpener to keep 'em like new!

This starter set is not only a fantastic price, but comes with a santoku, or Japanese chef knife, ideal for chopping. Knives forged from German steel with a curved handle. Excellent value.

This starter pack has everything you need to cook. The knives are made with German Steel and have forged bolsters (the area where the blade meets the handle) This pack would make a nice housewarming gift for a student going off to college.

Three great knife profiles

This value set is a great way to get three handy knives you may not have in your collection. The Santoku is great for chopping and has hollow pockets on the edge to help keep the food from sticking as you slice and chop. All three are forged for a sturdy feel and the handle has a nice comfortable curve in your hand.

I love that this starter set includes a santoku knife instead of a traditional chef's knife. Your santoku is best for chopping and mincing tasks with the hollow edge divets on the blade helping to guide food up and off of the knife. And the 5" serrated knife is what every chef needs in the kitchen to tackle cheese, tomatoes, bagels (aka anything with a tough exterior and soft interior). This is one of the best starter sets the Zwilling family offers.

3 piece starter sets are one of the best gifts, as I got one myself years ago. I have used and used it and it holds up well and continues to cut, slice and dice well after all these years. I love the curve of the handles as it gives me a good grip and feels comfortable.
