Wonderful Size for Daily Family Meals.

Looks as good as it performs. Don't be afraid of enameled white exterior...it cleans quite easily. Nobs integrated on bottom of lid continually keep moisture where we need it!

I have always admired the pretty white Staub at Sur la Table and Williams Sonoma. it looks great with my current Matte black pieces. The 5.5 cocotte is perfect for my needs. I can fit a good sized roast or make stew for a small crowd. I already have a 4 qt and next purchase deciding between a 7qt or a 9 qt.

Makes so easy to cook!

If you have never used or owned a Staub oven, then it is time. I started using them about 11 years ago. The trick is getting the right size. I started with a small one. Thinking it would be fine for the two of us. Immediately upgraded to the 5.5-qt. There weren't enough left overs!
This dutch oven makes my life easier. I literally toss a piece of protein, seasonings and some liquid in the pot, put it in the oven and cook for an hour or two. Done! Happy family!

Staub cast iron have variety colors to choose from, caters individuals color taste. Such white color will blends in for every kitchen, either stainless steel or modern designed. Staub cast iron pots saves you another dish, you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table. I also bought a staub trivet to protect my table from direct heat, it add another beautiful thing at your dinner parties. The innovative lid features tiny spikes on the interior that continually release condensed liquid back onto the food, yielding moist, flavorful results.

This is a must have, flawless white piece! I use this 5.5qt cocotte almost on a daily basis for a variety of recipes when making food for my boyfriend and I. This provides us with plenty of food for dinner and lots of leftovers. The nonstick enameled coating is excellent for browning and searing and a fantastic stove to oven to table vessel.
I would recommend this to a friend!
