I have only owned Henckels and this set does not disappoint. Bought to replace a 20yr old set, nothing wrong wife just wanted new set

sleek and always sharp

So many great things in this set. The knives are really cool with their solid metal design. The handels have great balance. The block is self sharpening so my knives are always razor sharp and ready to go. Each slot is labeled for each specific knife so they are always at their best. This set gives me all of my essentials for a complete kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3 stars for sharpness. How ever- the block doesn’t hold the knives in place as secured as I would like. Some of the knives I received looked used and/or starting to rust.

Thank you for your review and for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience as this is not common. Our Modernist series are manufactured from high quality German stainless steel. In addition, the size of the storage Block and the sharpening mechanisms in the appropriate slots allows for enough room to move the Knives in and out of the Storage Block safely, while sharpening and as well as with the non-sharpening Slots, as well as allowing airflow around them therefore no bacteria can grow.
