[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knives look to be of pretty good quality for the price. At least definitely better than a previous set we had from another company for comparable price. That old set pairer knife has been permanently dull no matter how I tried to sharpen it - whetstones, diamond fixed angle sharpener all was helpless. Be ready that the block will take a lot of space since it's less upright than you'd expect.

Sharp and worth every penny

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 7 piece Modernist Forged knife set with Self- sharpening block has been amazing so far. I was so impressed with the sharpeness of the paring knife right out of the box as I cut thru some pieces of chicken like butter. The block does have a large footprint on my small countertop and would like to see a redesign. Will update this review if knives begin to disappoint.
