Perfect for baked macaroni dishes. I like that I can finish cooking under the broiler too. Family sized. Has all the features you would expect from a Staub cast iron. Heats quickly and evenly.. The handles are great feature for transporting from stove to table.

This oval baking dish cast iron is perfect gratin dish, possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout.
From frying an eggs, browning minced garlic, melting butter, individual served spinach cheese dip, caramelizing sugar, baking and etc.
Requires no seasoning and works on all stove tops.
Black matte enamel inside and cooking surface creates a culinary advantage for better browning, braising and roasting.

If you like crispy edges, evenly cooked and easy clean up this is the au gratin dish for you. I use this pan for gratins, mac and cheese and enchiladas. The other night I cooked a sweet potato gratin in a ceramic dish and was disappointed. The cast iron really makes a difference. Cooks faster and gets crispy all around!

The large size gratin is perfect for any dish you want to serve beautifully at the table. Perfect for side dishes and desserts. Entrees for two people. I like this dish for the convenience of it. I can start cooking on the stove and finish in the oven. Roasted potatoes do exceptionally well. Easy to clean because it's enamel coated. Love my Staub!

Hubby recently went fishing and caught several bass. I used this to pan fry a whole fish and it worked perfectly. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly. The black matte finish helped caramelize and sear the fish skin so they were deliciouso!

Great cassarole dish

This is a great baking dish because it is made out of cast iron, so that when I take it from the oven to the table, the food stays hot for a long time. Unlike other cast iron, since this is enameled, it is easy to clean and the handles make it easy to take in and out of the oven.

Great size for all your side dishes or a dessert for 4-5 people. I love using the cast iron baking dishes for my side dishes, I am a huge fan of crispy edges and with the cast iron, you get perfectly browned cripsy edges and tops. These dishes conduct and distribule heat evenly resulting in beautiful side dishes. They retain their heat as well, so taking them from the oven to the table for serving, they will stay warm. They clean up so easily too thanks to the dark enameled finish on the inside.

Nice sized oval gratin, also great for roasting whole chickens, small turkeys and duck. The cast iron is built to last, conducts perfect heat, browns and crisps beautifully. Perfect for a variety of different jobs in the kitchen, easy to wash and is a great serving piece as well.
