I really like the self-sharpening block even though my wife Tina can't figure out how to use it, but I do most of the carving anyways. HAHA

Excellent set of knifes. The 8" Chef's knife is my new "go-to" knife. It actually makes dicing and slicing more enjoyable for this home chef. I ordered a Ballarini 7-inch Santoku which fits nicely in the open slot. It's a decent knife but can't match the Zwilling quality.

Cuts down prep time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received a knife from this company as a gift years ago and it had been my sharpest knife to date. That is why I bought this set for myself. Easily cuts through any food. I can hear the knives being sharpened everytime I pull one from the block. I have to use minimal force with these knives and the handles are very comfortable. I look forward to getting additional knives to fill the block.
