Love my knives but have a question

I love the weight and balance of the handles and the curve is both lovely and functional. I’m glad I chose this set as my first pair of grownup flatware to last me years.

Our daughter just bought a new house with a new kitchen. This was our gift to her and since we have the same knife set we know that she will enjoy this set longer than her house… The block looks beautiful but there was one knife missing (we ordered the 7 pc set but the block has room for 8) so we ordered an extra one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second purchase of the Zwilling knife block set and as expected, they are terrific. After using my previous knife block set approximately 10 years ago (yes they worked absolutely fine for 10 years), I wanted to upgrade my knife block for this self-sharpening block set. I am glad I did not purchase the other newer and trendy brands that I considered from those social media platform advertisements. I will continue to stick to Zwilling for knives!

The knives work very well and it's so nice that I don't need to purchase a knife sharpener separately. However, the only downside is the fact that the knife block can get scratched since it's made of wood, not metal. Besides that, it works perfectly fine!
