Perfect for stew

Wow what a great dutch oven. It's a perfect size for two to three people, super easy clean up and the inside doesn't stain because it matte black.

Love the cherry color!

Staub has great cocottes, but I really like this one. The size is perfect for someone who doesn’t cook in large quantities, or for making small bread loaves. The Cherry color really brings a nice pop of color in any kitchen, large or small. I love that the enamel is black, and that it really enhances the cooking experience, whether searing meat to making a nice soup.

favorite bread maker

I bought this pot specifically to make my artisan bread loaves in. Recipes require the pot to be heated in an oven at 500 degrees. Staub is the only 4qt round cocotte on the market that I could find that could tolerate this high of a temperature and it was the perfect size for my recipes.

Every home needs this cocotte!

This is the most versatile piece of cookware in my kitchen. Suitable for just about any recipe. The interior has a textured enameling rather than a slick enameling resulting in superior browning abilities. The enamel also allows for acidic foods, like my grandmother's Sunday bolognese sauce, to be made without the fear of interacting with the cast iron. The basting spikes on the under side of the lid are incredible, I can cook a roast in the oven and not have to baste the meat while it's cooking, the Staub cocotte does it for me!! The 4 quart capacity is suitable for preparing meals for 2 - 4 people. Do yourself a favor, get this piece for your kitchen, you will love how well it performs! Make the job of cooking enjoyable rather than a daily chore AND add a beautiful pop of color to your kitchen.
