My favorite thing

If I was Oprah this would definately be on "My favorite thing" list and everyone would get one. Well actually I do often gift this for weddings! Everything I use it for comes out amazing. I don't think I'm a great cook, but this peice makes me feel like I could be on Food Network.

My first time purchasing Staub even though I had chance before but this time I believe price was right. I have "Le Cxxxxxx" in my kitchen but normally both of them is too pricey for my taste. I had chance to use 3 times and I was very impressed with it. browning was good and sautés was good and when making curry it worked great. nice to have all the moistures inside the pot instead of outside . Red color is very nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Top-Tier Performance Cookware

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent heat retention and even heating. Beautiful exterior finish, I don't even think about tucking it away in my pantry or cupboard! Very versatile, I have successfully used mine to braise, fry, stew, sauté, cook rice, make stock, bake bread and other things I'm probably forgetting. I got my cocotte about a year ago and it still looks fresh out of the factory. The black matte interior develops no unsightly "seasoning" like the enamelware from Staub's high end French cookware competitor. The "knubs" on the interior of the lid definitely retain more moisture than comparable pots, and sometimes I even have to crack the lid to get more reduction! Cleanup is a breeze, a sponge and some dish soap are usually sufficient and an overnight soak will handle any other mess. I have also occasionally run the pot through the dishwasher and it looks none the worse for wear. I love my cocotte and would say it's worth every penny as an investment for anyone who likes to cook.
