My Review of the LG 83” OLED G5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I live in a studio apartment in NYC, which means every square foot matters. Buying an 83-inch TV sounded like a ridiculous idea… until I turned this thing on. Now it feels like the smartest purchase I’ve made in years.
This G5 basically transformed my whole apartment. It’s literally one giant wall of picture. Movies look insane — like I’m sitting in a private IMAX that just happens to be attached to my kitchen. The colors, the brightness, the detail… it’s on another level. Even during the day with sunlight blasting in, the screen still looks perfect. My old OLED couldn’t do that.
Gaming? Forget it. The PS5 on this TV is stupid good. Zero lag, everything feels buttery smooth, and the size just pulls you into the game. It’s honestly a little addicting.
The design is another big win. Since it sits flat against the wall, it doesn’t make my place feel cluttered. That mattered a lot for a studio — it actually makes the room look bigger, not smaller.
Sound is okay, but I added a soundbar because if you’re going this big, you might as well go all in.
If you’re in a small apartment and debating whether an 83-inch TV is “too much,” trust me — it’s not. It’s the best kind of overkill.

The best you can get!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best TV money can buy right now. An 83-inch G5 wall-mounted TV is an immediate living room conversation centerpiece. Comes with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, easy access to HDMI eARC in HDMI Port 2, Dolby Vision, the highest level of image upscaling available, and integration with the S95 soundbar is the best I've seen from a television product. Make sure to call on your strongest and most technically sound friends/handymen to install. Once you are set up, get ready to watch as much Planet Earth as possible to show off to your friends and pets that you see the world in a whole new light with this thing in your life. I may not be going on vacation for another four years, but looking at this TV every day is gonna make me happier than any trip to Europe ever would.

Best of the best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, you're looking at the LG G5, which is basically LG saying, "Hey, we made OLED even brighter and slapped it on your wall." Seriously, this thing is built to look like a piece of art hanging flush, but when you turn it on, it stops acting all subtle. The picture quality is just nuts. You get that famous, perfect OLED black level, but now it's cranked way up thanks to the "Brightness Booster Ultimate." This means even if your living room is super sunny, you can actually see all the details in the shadows, which is a big win. Plus, it has this crazy Alpha 11 AI Processor that makes everything look sharp and handles color like a total pro. If you’re into movies and want that true theater vibe but don't want to live in a cave, this is a serious contender.
But let's be real, this is also a gaming monster. It rocks a native 120Hz refresh rate but can push up to 165Hz with VRR, plus it has all the bells and whistles like G-Sync and FreeSync. If you're running a PS5, Xbox Series X, or a high-end PC, the response time is practically instant (less than 0.1ms!), so your games look fluid and snappy on that huge screen. So, it's a massive, beautiful, future-proof TV, but you definitely have to commit to its "gallery" lifestyle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Skeptical about buying such a high priced TV when there are similar sized tv’s for half the price but I am not disappointed. The tv is great and I have no remorse.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the LG G5 in 83 inches and it’s hands down the best TV I’ve owned. The picture is unreal. Blacks are truly black, colors look natural not oversaturated, and HDR content looks like something you’d see in a high-end theater. The brightness surprised me too. Most OLEDs struggle in bright rooms but this one holds up perfectly during the day with windows open.

An Elite All-Rounder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG G5 OLED is one of those rare TVs that performs exceptionally well no matter where you put it or what you use it for. Whether you're watching films in a pitch-black room, gaming at high refresh rates, or streaming daytime sports in a bright living room, the G5 manages to feel over-engineered for almost everything you throw at it.
This is LG’s most “complete” OLED in years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this through the Partner Store and it was an incredible deal! I absolutely love this TV and can't think of a single flaw. It has high refresh rate and has an incredibly fast OS. I have a soundbar, but the sound out of the TV sounds really good. Picture quality is 2nd to none and looks really amazing, would recommend looking through all the modes to see what you prefer.

Awesome picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as an upgrade to a 65 inch CX OLED. The picture is brighter and sharper in HDR mode and has been awesome so far with movies and gaming. The tv speakers are ok, but I pair with a surround sound system. The remote doesn’t have an input button, so switching between inputs is a little clunky. Minor inconvenience for the overall viewing quality.
