I am an old guy in my late seventies. I bought what looked to be a good HP printer and it has worked very well. But I just had to get new ink cartridges and they were HORRENDIOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Next time I have to get new cartridges I will likely just trash the printer and find a new printer with affordable print cartridges. Yuk. Yuk

I always order the XL it lasts so much longer. I also will only get HP for my HP printer. I tried other inks but it only gave me problems. I rather pay the additional cost and have everything run smoothly.
