This 4 pack has lasted less time than previous ones. I do very little printing in color and yet it runs out before the black. Very unhappy with all HP products. This printer i got is terrible, paper jamming too many times and pulling in 2-3 sheets of paper at a time when printing. I have tried 5 different brands of copy paper and same results. When my ink runs out I will probably start looking at printers made by another company.

I viewed your post. I get that you are contending with dry color cartridges. I will provide a few tips on ink usage below. Have you heard about the instant ink program? The program is a great way to never run out of ink. You can sign up here: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/instantink.
As a precaution, ensure that the cartridge is fully inserted in the holder. If it isn't printing, the first step is to take out the cartridge and reinsert it. This resets the cartridge. The second step is preventing a clog. There may be residue on the printhead. Carefully remove ink from the copper contacts on the printhead.
Lastly, watch your printing habits. Print in black ink to prevent running out of color ink sooner. Certain types of prints and paper use more ink, such as images. If you follow these practices, the ink will last longer.

individual cartridge packing tears the top of cartridge label off, which points to not stored right or stored to long. The ink cartridges all installed and work but I'm not impressed and don't think they'll hold up as "new", more like passed their "sell by date"
