A young lady was helpful in locating my product. She checked on the computer making sure of the right one Appreciated the help. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 - price.
Have purchased two of these and neither one works in the machine

Hi Donald I am very sorry that you had this problem. It is hard to say what is wrong. However it is unlikely that all eight of the cartridges are bad. First I'd check to make sure you got the correct cartridges. If you are unsure you can check here: hp.com/go/suresupply If that checks out you might have dirty or damaged electrical contacts. That can be a caused by even something as simple as a fingerprint. Carefully polish the copper contacts on the cartridge (and the matching ones inside the printer) with some kind of lint-free material to see if that helps the connection. If that does not help you can try a reset of the printer. Leave it on and unplug it wait a minute or two and then plug it back in. If nothing works I'd look into returning them. HP produces a first rate product but the cost is exorbitant. Not anything to do with Staples but the pricing for this is like 7 times more expensive than alternatives and while i do not trust the alternatives to the same extent as HP products they do get the job done at a fraction of the cost
