HP combo pack give you an extra large capacity BLACK ink which works out very well. These cartridges seem to last longer than others. I believe it is the quality of the new printer. Having a printer with 3 separate color cartridges also seems to add considerable quality and more pages printed per cartridge set. Do not buy remanufactured cartridges you will be sorry. The quality of remanufactured cartridges is sub standard compared to HP original NEW units. Do not try to refill these cartridges with a kit. You will end up paying more for less pages and poor quality.

As a teacher I have been buying ink cartridges for a long time. These cartridges have been the easiest to change the longest lasting. I also do not run into any problems with smudging. There is no danger of ink leaking out because the old cartridge pops right out and the new one slides right in.

I always use HP cartridges but the price has gotten out of control. I think rather than buy new ink I’m just going to buy a printer. Cheaper.
