This combined package of xl black ink and color ink is convenient for people who do a lot of printing. My daughter and I are both teachers and are frequently printing colorful learning activities and newsletters for the classroom but also use the black ink for printing worksheets and assessments. The ink produces clear bright colors and easy to read print. Needless to say we use many cartridges during a year. I find buying the extra large black cartiridge and color combination package most economical for the amount of printing I do.
