I was skeptical about investing in a HP printer because the ink is so expensive however with my HP office machine and HP ink combo the quality is spot-on and lasts a very long time. I print about 50 - 100 pages a day and the black cartridge lastes about 3 months. The color cartridge lasted about 6 months. Previously I was changing the cartridge to my Kodak printer about once every 1 - 2 weeks. I don't put much faith in generic ink I've had bad experience in the past. Not to mention with the rewards system staples provides it makes the cartridges cheaper than anywhere else.
