HP950XL(951) High Yield

The HP950XL(High Yield) ink has proven to be a bargain. The print is always clear and the ink lasts a long time. In addition to printing documents letters etc. for the many organizations in which I am usually an officer I do a lot of printing of photos of my new great nephew. These photos are taken by the mother with a professional camera and entered on a blog by her. I then download the photos that I would like to keep for my photo album using the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer. The photos always look professional. This saves me the cost of a photo shop and the time involved of waiting for them.

Overpriced

The ink cartridges work fine as have my HP printers most of the time. And HPs online documentation library - even for long discontinued products - is an excellent resource. I try to console myself that I'm really paying for these other benefits when I have to pay the extortionary prices that HP - and all the other printer manufacturers - charge for their proprietary ink cartridges. Even with the Staples rebate for used cartridges and their "ink club " the price of these products never falls into what I would consider a reasonable range. As far as I know we don't really have any other choice. Recommendations: Quality=Yes Value for price=No
