The HP xl black ink is a great value. It has a long life and amazes me at the number of pages I can print that all have the same great quality. All of the HP ink for my printer is exceptional. The colors are very true to original and the other colors besides black last an exceptionally long time also. Prior to purchasing this HP printer I had to purchase ink every month. Since I have had this printer I purchase ink about every 3 to 4 months. And believe me I print a lot of pages on this printer. The value of the ink is well worth the cost.
