I had my concerns about the cost of the ink when I initally purchased the printer and the first ink refills. As I started using the ink I was amazed at how long the "test" cartridges lasted. And I have just changed the cartridges for the first time since I purchased the printer. Excellent ink and printer. Thank you for such a wonderful product.

don't try refills

I tried using one of those places that refill your cartridges with their own brand of ink. Don't use their services first of all the color isn't right they look sort of washed out not the deep colors you expect from HP cartridges. Another thing the price is not that cheap when you use your club card you get a nice credit and also when you turn in the used cartridges you also get credit . when you add up the club credits and the cartridge credit you might save only a few bucks. I use my printer for a lot of photos and i want the best ink not so discount junk
