This ink works great but just this one order cost nearly as much as my All-in-One HP printer cost. I tried 3rd party ink with some touting re-filled ink cartridges in my previous printers but in the end all ruined my printers through clogging & some just we not recognized. But those attempts were worth the risk because these HP cartridges are so expensive. Actually same for my previous HP Cannon and Dell printers. So there really are no alternatives outside of original Manufacturer cartridges and the manufacturers know this and why they sell their printers so cheap and charge outrageous prices for the ink. Staples always seems to have the best prices.

I'm used to buying the HP 902 COMBO XL. Albeit I could only buy what was in stock. I do see the difference between the non XL 902 COMBO PACK!. And the 902 XL COMBO PACK! By the time that I started and completed the printer maintenance! Of "Aligning the Printhead and Printing a Test Sheet etc"! My Cyan/Magenta/Yellow ink levels were 35-40% used up!
Magenta looks like it was not full of ink powder. It is faded and difficult to read.

Hi Marylyn I am very sorry that your magenta cartridge did not work well. That was unfortunate. You can contact the seller when the merchandise you bought from them is faulty. Here is a link to the return policy: returnsandrefunds.com/Staples/Returns Mary Chris HP Care hp.com/support
So this has nothing to do with Staples but what i recently found out is that if you don’t use the cartridges weekly they will dry out and needs to be replaced. This was such a huge let down because i just purchased the cart trudge fir 100 plus dollars in March of the year didn’t do hardly any printing over the summer and was very confused as to why the printer started sayin ink out. Had to repurchase in July. My past cartridges and printer (had to buy a new hp printer) seemed to have never dry out with similar routines. It’s suggested to printout a page a week (wasting paper) to preserve the ink
