I have tried the knockoffs and had troubles with decent looking print outs. Replaced with HP brand and the difference is noticeable.

The ink by itself does pretty much what you would expect. Gives your printer the juice to print colorful things. If you drop acid first then print things it's way cooler. Be careful of the cyan though - it will tell you to do bad things.
