Hp and or Staples should assure this package includes a regular black ink for text not photo. I was. Unsure but fortunately the regular black ink was what I needed and so it worked out. The price is on the high end. Shopping around might have been worthwhile.

Hi Carole Excellent feedback that the ink works well. I want to help you improve your page yields. HP wants its customers to get the most of its ink. The first option involves print preview to eliminate unneeded copies. Decreasing the print quality setting a little can increase the page yields. Regular printer maintenance also keeps the printer in great condition. The next suggestion is to watch your printing content. Photos are the number one source of depleted ink.
