Hi Sally I am sorry that the cartridge didn’t work well for you. I can understand if you are not happy. It is probable that the printhead inside the printer is clogged. The cartridges themselves don't affect the print quality as long as they have ink in them. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu that can be used to clear out the clogs so that the ink from that cartridge will print properly. Mary Chris HP Care hp.com/support

Hi Sarah I understand you are having difficulty with the color cartridges. If two of the colors are not working there are two possibilities. The first possibility is dry cartridges. This situation is more likely if the cartridges have been sitting on the printer for a while. If not there is a possibility that the printer doesn't recognize the cartridges.
