I got the HP Office Jet Pro 8740 about 6 or 7 months ago and I must say ... I am really not too impressed with it. First I could not recieve faxes and had to get the phone company to put in a different line My last fax machine was sharing a line with our alarm system and worked fine but this machine needs a line all to itself. it cost my company several hundred dollars to find this out and rectify it next it is not as user friendly as it seems I have envelopes it won't print because of the size and it won't allow me to put in the right size. Also it seems to go through quite a bit of ink. On the positive sidee... It makes really nice looking copies and prints.

HP has made sure that their ink is superior to other inks. Unfortunately HP has now priced itself out of my budget. I'll have to start looking for a substitute even if it means buying a new printer. So sad.

it is a great price for the 4 cartridges but I would rather they had a 4 pack of all XL. (or a 56XL with the 3 colors as XL.

i expected the black ink the last at least as long as the color since it was a high yield but it seems to be running much lower
